Content:
Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) validates associate-level knowledge and skills required to secure Cisco networks. With a CCNA Security certification, a network professional demonstrates the skills required to develop a security infrastructure, recognize threats and vulnerabilities to networks, and mitigate security threats. The CCNA Security curriculum emphasizes core security technologies, the installation, troubleshooting and monitoring of network devices to maintain integrity, confidentiality and availability of data and devices, and competency in the technologies that Cisco uses in its security structure.

Objectives:
Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:
 
  • Develop a comprehensive network security policy to mitigate threats against Technology Infrastructure.
  • Configure Cisco routers at the network perimeter with Security features enabled IOS.
  • Configure a Cisco IOS zone-based firewall to perform basic security operations on a network. 
  • Configure site-to-site VPNs using Cisco IOS features. 
  • Configure IPS on Cisco network routers. 
  • Configure LAN devices to control access, resist attacks, shield other network devices and systems, and protect the integrity and confidentiality of corporate's IT Infrastructure.

Secure Cisco routers

Implement AAA on Cisco routers using local router & ACS

Mitigate threats to Cisco routers and networks using ACLs

Telnet, SNMP, and DDoS attacks in a network using CLI

Implement secure network management and reporting

Mitigate common Layer 2 attacks

Implement the Cisco IOS firewall feature set using SDM

Implement the Cisco IOS IPS feature set using SDM

Implement site-to-site VPNs on Cisco Routers
